This new law will help people with developmental disabilities, in cooperation with Regional Centers, be able to determine themselves how they want to spend the budget that the RC gives them, without having any restrictions anymore. With this law they will have the power to choose their own facilitator, a person who can even be a family member to help them get the services they need from whoever they want, without the need of prior authorization form Regional Centers without the long wait sometimes to get their services, because they can choose their own providers.
