PAAIA NexGen Orange County would like to invite you to join NexGen in celebrating the Persian New Year on Friday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the Los Angeles City Hall. Since 2004, the City of Los Angeles has recognized Nowrooz traditions in the City Council Chamber. Nowrooz is the first day of spring and the time for friends and family to gather together in unity and celebrate the ideas of renewal.
PAAIA NexGen is making the best efforts to gather groups of highly accomplished Iranian American Professionals to come together in conjunction with the Persian New Year and to celebrate together as one. The celebration includes various activities:
Elected officials will speak about Nowrooz in the City Council Chambers at 10 a.m.
Afterwards, we will gather around the Haft Seen and enjoy Persian sweet in the City Hall.
The Iranian American community will volunteer with Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter, to help out those in need.
Please join us in some or all of these events. It would be a great opportunity to network, come together and show our support to the community. Please feel free to contact Kamran Forghani at haaskamran@gmail.com if you have any questions.
