Please join us for the celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, as we stand in solidarity with the Persian communities of Los Angeles. This year, the Los Angeles Public Library in collaboration with several community organizations and local businesses has developed a community Nowruz festival. The programs include includes Persian poetry recitals, music and protest dance performances, contest, and speakers on the stage. Off the stage, you can join pop-up workshops, including zine making, button making, community tapestry making (no-sew quilting), egg painting, Nowruz craft for children, reptile display and interactive program.
