Primer presented by Ali Razai, Knobbe Martens, and Sam K. Tahmassebi, Ph.D., TechLaw
LLP, at the offices of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, 550 West C Street, Suite 800,
San Diego, California 92101. This event is co-sponsored by the Iranian-American Life

About the Speakers:

Ali Razai, Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP, practices in
patent litigation related to biotechnology and
pharmaceutical industries. He graduated from UCLA (B.S.
Microbiology and Molecular Genetics), UC Berkeley (MPH
Infectious Diseases), and UC Hastings College of Law
(J.D.).

Sam K. Tahmassebi, Ph.D., TechLaw LLP, specializes in
obtaining patent protection for chemical, pharmaceutical,
biotechnology, and high tech industries. Dr. Tahmassebi
graduated from UCSD (B.A. Chemistry/Biochemistry), and
received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of
Washington. He was an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at
USD. He graduated cum laude from USD School of Law, and is admitted to the Order of the Coif.
