The Los Angeles Chapter of the Iranian American Bar Association is pleased to announce an afternoon conversation with the acclaimed author of “Daughter of Persia” Sattareh Farman-Farmaian. As you may know, Mrs. Farman-Farmaian was born into the artistocratic Qajar family in 1921. From her sheltered childhood in Iran she journeyed to the University of Southern California where she was the first Iranian student to attend. She then returned to Iran where in 1958 she founded the Tehran School of Social Work, the first school of social work in Iran.
